We all look in the mirror every day of our lives, but sometimes we see only what we want to see. Or perhaps we just get used to things the way they are . . . old tooth restorations that have turned gray or those slightly chipped two front teeth. Take a good hard look, and if you want any of those little flaws corrected, or if you decide you simply want to brighten up your smile, we can help you easily and efficiently with a procedure called composite resing bonding.
Composite resin is a tooth-colored plastic ceramic mixture that is used mainly for two different application in composite resin bonding. One use is as a filling material that replaces old silver (mercury-amalgam) fillings. It's available in a wide variety of shades and colors to match your own teeth. The second use is for cosmetic purposes, to correct chipped teeth or gaps between teeth.
Bonding is a versatile, easy, and effective way to improve your smile. It's this simple: at your next appointment, tell Dr. McKim exactly what you'd like to change about your smile. We can then explain various procedures and make a treatment plan.

Dental Implants are an amazing solution for many today. Implants can replace everything you have lost-from a beautiful smile to the ability to laugh and eat how you used to. Implants are man-made replacements for tooth roots. They act exactly like real roots-even bonding naturally with your jawbone. (#1 IMPLANT PHOTO)
With a fixed bridge your new teeth will look and feel just like your natural teeth. Friends and family will find it hard to tell the difference. With the implants, your new teeth will be securely fastened and are only removeable by your dentist. (#2 FIXED BRIDGE PHOTO)
The overdenture is securely fixed on top of at least two implants. The denture will be removeable by you for cleaning and oral hygiene. They are different from conventional dentures because they provide retention in the mouth, functioning more like natural teeth. (#3 OVERDENTURE PHOTO)
When you choose a Procera ceramic crown, you'll have the ultimate beautiful smile-because Procera crowns look just like your natural teeth. Procera crowns are custom-made just for you, incredibly strong and beautiful, and have a precision fit. (#3 CROWN PHOTO)
A Bigger, Brighter Smile Uncovered!
A symmetrical and even gum line is one of the most important aspects of achieving a beautiful smile. Your gum tissue frames the top of your tooth, giving it is shape. When you have excess gum tissue, teeth may appear shorter, resulting in the notorious “gummy smile”. In a procedure called gum contouring (or lift), or gingival contouring Dr. McKim can trim excess or uneven gum tissue to make teeth look more proportioned using laser surgery
Laser surgery eliminates the discomfort of scalpel surgery, does not cause bleeding and heals quickly. This procedure is performed at the same time as your other restorative treatment.
The result is teeth that appear longer, more even and gums that don't steal the show.

Get ready to Zoom!
We have a beauty treatment that offers maximum results! It's called teeth- whitening, and it will complement your lifestyle and pocketbook. Tooth whitening is the #1 requested and performed cosmetic dental procedure. It can be completed in one office visit, or with a few at-home treatments. A whiter, brighter smile is a great long-lasting investment.
Today, professionally administered tooth whitening systems such as Zoom 2, use innovative procedures and higher bleaching concentrations to produce faster, more dramatic whitening results. For teeth-whitening in the dentist's office, a 30 to 50 percent hydrogen peroxide solution is applied to teeth and activated by a high-intensity light or laser. The bleaching process take about 45 minutes. Natural tooth color determines how much the bleaching will whiten the teeth. Tooth color is a genetic trait, so certain people are just born with brighter enamel.
For patients whose teeth are too sensitive for whitening with lasers or other in-office methods, at-home bleaching might be recommended. A visit to your dentist is still required for the preparation of thin, custom-molded plastic treays that fit over the teeth. The trays are filled with a solution ranging from 8 to 20 percent carbamide peroxide and then worn for one to three hours per day for several days or as recommended by your dentist.
Technology is emerging in all fields and professions at a rapid pace. Dentistry is no exception. The use of the surgical microscope in dentistry is now widely embraced by dental specialists. Cosmetic restorative dentists are quickly beginning to use the microscope to enhance their procedures.
The surgical microscope leads to heightened fine motor skills. The results are improved visibility from the magnification and illumination, which leads to improved clinical results.
The most precise restorative margins (cuts) are viewed and fine-tuned with enhanced patient rewards. Patients know that dentistry must be precise. When a dentist uses additional sources of magnification and illumination by investing in a surgical microscope, patients are assured that he/she is committed to providing the most precise dentistry possible.

The Waterlase MD™ is loaded with patented technology and powerful features that will transform your dental experience. The Waterlase MD™ is a revolutionary dental device that uses HydroPhotonics™, a combination of laser energy and water, to perform many traditional dental procedures in many instances, without the need for injections. The precision and accuracy of the Waterlase MD™ allows you to treat targeted areas of tooth structure and soft tissue, leaving surrounding areas unaffected while maintaining the structural integrity of the tooth. Studies have shown that the Waterlase MD™ is less invasive and less traumatic than the drill, scalpel or electrosurge. Less invasive means more conservation of tooth structure and tissue.
